If cleave was on the list i might have picked it.

To get it you have to use 3 Skill Points
1 Weapon Accuracy <----DON'T WANT TO USE!
1 Hard Hit <----DON'T WANT TO USE!
1 Cleave

I don't run into NPCs in large groups often enough to get any good use out of this skill, plus with a high BC most times they do get a chance to swing back they miss or I managed to kill one or two before they get a chance to swing.

I know, i know, a lot of you guys and gals love this skill.

At a certain level you've got too much money making merchant the most useless skill... Even failure mastery is better if you don't save like me.

You left out some choices: other, none of the above, depends on the build.
Or my answer: better criticals

The problem with the"high level" builds is that they're actually less useful at very high levels because of how powerful you'll get from regular level ups. But if you take one off those skills earlier on it could be useful.

Weapon accuracy, hard hit, and dodge are only useful because they're required for other skills, like Cleave, which I think is worth it.

Treasure Hunter is good if you want to cut down on the grinding since you can get gold faster to get the better equipment so you can get through the tougher areas. Same for Merchant.

Quick learner is good if you want to level up faster and don't care about the other skills or already have the ones you want. Magic finder is helpful if you're getting impatient with trying to get the L&E items.

Failure mastery at max is good if you plan to often go places that are a pain to leave and want to let yourself die and wake up in a convenient bed without losing XP. Or if you don't like using the save-reload trick.

Edit: for me, the most useless out of those listed is Failure Mastery, because I use the save & reload tactic.

On a poll you can only have up to 10 choices.

Merchant... definitely (Out of the list in the poll, that is).

Failure mastery is my second choice. I guess that at very high level this could be considered useful in the off-chance that you do somehow manage to get yourself killed. I used to think it would be handy on low level builds but then I got myself killed a few times and realized that at that low level you're either going to be VERY careful not to get yourself killed or else you have so little xp that losing it wouldn't make a whole lot of difference.

If you just like to have lots of gold then treasure hunter is the way to go. It is my #3 most worthless skill because if you don't already have enough gold without it then you're doing something wrong. Note: it might be a good idea to either make stuff cost more, scale the cost as your char progresses, or make more items that cost a lot more.

Is there one not on the poll that you would have voted for?

Depends on what build you're going for :D

Critical skills are useless for me.

I did notice you didn't put Strong Mind, Enduring Body, or Pure Blood on the poll and I doubt that many people put a lot of skill points into those. While useful, they are very expensive for the benefit they give. Personally, I think those three could use a small upgrade to 15% per point spent capping at 75% for 5 max points rather than the current 10% capping at 70% for 7 max points. I could actually see someone (me ) going for at least one of those skills if they thought they could max it out with only 5 points instead of 7.
