There is no easy way to introduce an internal tick counter in a good way. If you close the app there is no internal tick counter present anymore. If you save it to a file, one could compromise the file. Perhaps internal memory would work. AT would need a permanent (small) cpu usage.tek wrote:Yah, I tried it. It works. IMO it should not.
Just a thought to get experience at a speed of 1/n while grinding for the RoLS almost 100% of the time.
1) Let n be a number greater than 1
2) Create n savegames of the same game
3) Let i be 1
4) Load the savegame #i and grind the 3 gargoyle cave maps
5) leave the caves
6) Save the game to savegame #i
7) Check if a RoLS dropped (go to step 10 if one dropped)
8) Let i be (i % n) + 1
9) go to step 4
10) Shout out "I got one" and start dancing around

If your n is big enough everyone should have respawned in step 4. The "%"-operator mentioned in step 7 is also known as modulo.

Good questions.
The ticking round timer (GameRoundController.java) is woken up every 500 milliseconds, and is woken up by something called a Handler in the Android os. We have no control over how that thing times itself, other than that it's woken up roughly every 500ms. On every wakeup, we base the game's actions on System.currentTimeMillis(). When the player enters a map (either by walking into it, or by loading a savegame), we check the "last visit time" against System.currentTimeMillis().

The clock alter method works and if you get a good pace going it has results! Id clear both rooms then enter the room w the single trainer/master and redo your clock to maximize how many u can kill a run/time alter. U can also reset your clock to normal enter exit then enter that room and boost it again if yoir time being off gets annoying....
This trick should also insanely up ElyR time, clear to and enter blackwater up time clear to outside up time again, just keep doing that to wipe out tons of wyrm masters and trainers
Can probably be used the same w the SRoV and VsH
just my observations from playing with it....

Just a funny idea. Maybe it should be that we could use small rocks we get trying to get an RoLS to build a cave that could be used for storage of items we don't want to sell. Maybe 1,000 rocks for a 5 space cave and every 500 after for one more space. At least it would give us some justification for trying forever to get a RoLS.
