Hmmm, the chaos reaper idea is interesting....if you can actually hit them with it, since your AC is -30, then I could see how lowering the spider -50 BC, would help. But if you can hit them with your AC at -30, why bother using it?

Getting a hit with the Chaosreaper is indeed harder, but I think the strategy works. YMMV, depending on your AC. Try it and see how it goes.

The strategy is sound but I believe the point is why?

If you can hit them with the BSS and are able to land good quality hits then why lower your AC by 30 to lower theirs. The damage that could be done by the BSS alone would be enough to take them out without having to switch weapons.

Don't get me wrong the strategy is fine but if you can kill them with the BSS faster than switching back and forth then it is just an extra step. Maybe on some of the stronger monsters that are supposed to show up in the next version

That strategy will probably work more effectively after two handed combat is introduced and you can use a combination of chaotic grip and critical hits. As it is now, it takes 5AP to switch weapons during combat so the better option would be to flee, then switch and attack again. You can get the move cost down to 3 if you have VSH, SRoV or villains leather armor, cowards boots, but even then if you don't inflict chaotic grip right away you're running out of AP to flee or switch.

i agree.. in some (rare) caces this strategy works. When you have small chance to hit with your weapon and your bace AD is low. You might have better results if you start battle with ChaR (you chance of hit is -62% versus BSS) but in some caces that will not lower your actual chance of hit too much. After opponet is curced chance to BSS and you can land hit pretty easily with nice +5 to damage.
