I currently have a ROLS and a ROL but my desire to obtain an ELYR is looooong gone.
Putting points into skills such as Magic Finder, treasure hunter, quick learner actually weakens your build.
Duh...

Quick Learner actually strengthens your build. If you're the type who likes to just keep leveling up (as I am), then it helps you do it faster, and you can use each level up to increase your base stats. If you already had a level (or 2 or more) of Increased Fortitude, then your HP goes up faster too. I know direct skills like Weapon Accuracy and Dodge increase those stats directly, and Hard Hit is supposed to get a boost in the next update so its not just the same as a regular level up, but it's also kind of an investment. Right now, if you have Level 10 QL, its value will eventually plateau as you reach higher levels. But each update brings new monsters and bosses with more XP so you already get a higher boost off those.
Treasure Hunter is good if you don't want to level up too much because you prefer more of a challenge. In this case, it helps you get more gold faster so you can afford the better equipment without having to grind (and level up) as much.
Magic Finder works similarly to that but without the guarantee of seeing the benefit.

Hard Hit goes up from a puny 1 to 3 damage, Weapon Accuracy will go up from 12 to 15% and Dodge from 9 to 10%.
Working on second RoLS, first at 1049 rocks, now at 2757 but no luck yet...

I can guarantee you it works, howeverresults vary (given the chance nature) so you may or may not see a difference personally. However I remember doing some extreme testing and right atound 2k MF experimental rate was about 50% for any legendary, which if my math is right... Is much higher than the theoretical ~10%

MF works the same way that purchasing more than one lottery ticket works. You odds do not increase if you have multiple levels in MF just like the odds stay the same for the lottery. What MF does do is give you multiple chances to get said item. So it just increases the amount of tries that you recieve when you kill a monster.

Well, kind of. I work the lottery at my job, and it is much more complicated than that. Just in general though, some games could have a 1:3.5641 win ratio while another game could have 1:4.756. I tell everyone who comes through the same thing, if you go down to the casino and put it all on black you have a 50% chance of doubling up... so what are you doing here?
