Well here's my thing prop 8 was flawed in more ways then one. It attacked the churches by forcing them to marry gays which is against the churches belief so that attacks there constitutional right of freedom of religion. Then by taking this.bill to the supreme court after the people said no we don't want this in our constitution, the courts over turned it. In doing so attacks or freedom of speech. But in turn by saying no to this prop we denied the gays of there freedom of happiness.

Why gay people would want to marry in a church that does consider sexual orientation other than hetero a disease, is beyond me. Any adult person should be able to marry any other adult person, since marriage in itself is not a religious thing.

I will marry my gf but not in any church, religion is for people who lack the brains to understand and incorporate science in their daily lives. Not to say that religion or dumb people are bad, just that I do not feel I beloing to either of those groups of people :-)

Like I said before I personal thought that this prop couldn't have been supported an not.he supported for the reason of.it imposes on to many peoples rights and liberties. Thy is right in some ways like why would gays.wanna marry in a church? If there Christian or Catholic and with them being gay would go against there belief. Now saying people are dumb for worshipping a God as "dumb" is completely wrong in my books because they believe that they are right about who or what the worship

On the other side, with gays now being allowed to marry it will turn out to be a big cash cow for the state.

I GOT IT PROP 1 FOR AT WE WANNA HAVE THE RIGHT TO USE BONEMEAL POTIONS AGAIN!!!!! WITHOUT YOU GAURDS THROWING ME IN JAIL FOR IT. *hush tone* what they don't know is there's a whole in the back in the cell they throw me in. Its behind the bed.
The constitution doesn't mean squat in this country, it is a document written by a bunch of dead guys hundreds of years ago, what relevance does it have today? Also, no matter what the constitution states, it is up to the judicial system to decide what it actually means.

Yes...... but again, it is all up to the interpretation of the laws by the court officials... it says I have the right to bear arms, that doesn't mean I have a right to hang the forelegs of a bear on my wall now does it?

Yah, back in a time when "baring arms" was essential to a quality life or even survival. This is one right that I wish 100% was never a right as it has much much more negative than positive.
