What I been doing is every 4 lvls starting at 4 I'd give it to hp. That's for my Lvl 66 my Draco build I wont put any on hp.

Why? You can get more AC, AD, and BC if you ise IF to slowly raise your Hp.

Also investing more stats into BC would have a greater effect on your ability to survive in the long run, why get more HP when the NPCs are barely able to hit you to begin with?

IMHO: Putting Level up bonuses into HP is a complete waste.

Well right now I only have 2 on if and I like having a lot of hp. Once beta is out I'm gonna make anew but keep playing as my old till my new consumes my old.

When I first started playing AT, I was still used to the way in D&D and Nethack that level ups automatically went into HP. The other increases came from gear improvements, spells, and such that your higher level enabled you to attain. It made me nervous, the idea of walking around without a many hp as possible. So I spent most of my level ups on hp. Especially since skills had not yet been introduced, so IF was not available.

But this game is set up very differently. It took me awhile to fully appreciate this.

Your gear makes relatively little difference, no matter how much people drool over the latest new weapon. Not no difference, obviously, but alot less than your level ups in AC, BC, and AD. Special features are nice, of course, but low AP is the only really important one. It is not clear to me yet whether the new weapons skills affect this. But that's a different topic...

Absolutely, use IF instead of level ups for hp. I hadn't done the math to realize that one shot if hp gets you to regen 1 earlier, but if you want it early, then go for it. Might as well take hp on the very first level up. I'd make sure to get Combat Speed as early as possible before I worried about regen.

Thanks everyone, lots of good advice there. I'm currently planning on getting AC up to a reasonable level then I'll concentrate on BC a bit with AD

Congrats to everyone, quite a few of you have got a significant amount of levels...lots of grinding there :)

There are 2 theories on getting Combat Speed and when you should get it:

1) Wait until level 30 and get both level 1 and 2 in one shot (raising you swings per turn by one)
or
2) Get Skill Level 1 at PLAYER LEVEL 15 and Skill Level 3 at PLAYER LEVEL 30. (Possibly not raising your # of swings but allows you to use potions or move easier)

It depends on if that extra 1 Ap will get you an additional swing per turn or not. Also, some players take level 1 right away, because having the 1 additional AP means they can still get 2 swings in and still use a potion or attempt to move.

My playing style requires me to use alot of potions (no patience for hit and run, little patience for grinding out additional levels before I tackle a hard area), so 6 for swings (3 with QSD, else 2) and five for a potion is a clear advantage.

Sometimes that extra 1 AP is all you need to get yourself out of a tough situation.
