Rumor only. Noone knows the next release 's date.
Not even me.

I just hope the waiting for update won't be as long as the quest "search for Andor"

actually I say soon when I am not sure about the date.

Of course it's rumor, Andor's Trail is abandoned to say the least.

It's definitely not abandoned, although development is slow (seeing as it is ideal work).
The update is being worked on slowly since last june (if I'm not mistaken).
A few additional maps have been developed already (looking into the development discussion) and I would assume that the next update will be released around summer
It seems it will not include Nor City or Feygard (the map-developer for Nor City seemed to have quit the dev-team), but more on the north-east (Arulir mtn.) part and the south-west (Stoutford).
If they are to include Nor City (as it is the next part of the Searching for Andor-quest) it may be at the very latest around July-August

Not much about the development is included here in the forums (apart from a few pointers), so it is hard to tell what's being worked on right now
