One of the games I had mentioned, Gurk, now has a sequel - Gurk II, for $0.99. Its fun enough that its worth at least the $1, and its similar to Andor in that it you wander around on quests and go to different towns and have turn-based fights. The differences are the its 8-bit, and you don't always see where enemies are, and its a 3 person party that you're controlling.

Thanks for the tip. Gailardia is pretty good.

I recommend Deatly Dungeons, Pirates & Traders and Gurk.

I've loved all the pixel dungeon clones. Fun, challenging and just the right balance of rpg style exploring.... with every new game start bringing on a new dungeon map. Hard to beat that!

I beat the original pixel dungeon. Once you get the right weapon, all you need to worry about is health. If you recover health and store food then even the last boss is puny easy.

Guys try 9th Dawn. It's not free but it's not bad.
If you have ever played Ultima as a kid on the Amiga or 64 (now I am showing my age)..it's modeled from that.
Another idea..get yourself a Game Boy Advance emulator and I think the real RPG deal are on that as well as Zelda, etc.
