Yeah , I seen that source code...
A rock had the value 25, which is 25%
The RoLS had a value of 1/10000 in the same block, meaning 1%/10,000
This means the ring drops at a ratio of. 1:1,000,000. NOT 1:10,000
if the rock is 25%, that means the RoLS @ 1/10000 is out of 1 % ,meaning it drops 0.00001% of the time NOT 0.01%
1% divided by 10,000 is the drop rate %
If I'm wrong, that means that a rock would drop 2,500% and I know for fact rocks do not drop from garg trainers at that rate.

I think you did get it wrong. Its: 1:10,000 AND NOT 1:1,000,000.
Just double check the source code. The handling of numbers like "25" and extremly low chances like "1/10000" is different.

Ok

sorry, my mistake.
Guess I just have horrible luck at these drops.
I've killed thousands upon thousands of them and at one point you get really discouraged.

5725 imps... still nothing. I really wonder how much longer I will pursue this search. It's seriously tiring.

Oh, I agree Link, that was was the worst. I ended up going with the save/reload method. Still takes a while, but much faster than waiting for respawn and chasing them down.

I GOT IT !!!
It happened between 5820 and 5843, can't say exactly, as I didn't check after each respawn.
However, one thing is peculiar about this number: it is very close to the number of trainers/masters I had to hunt for the RoLS, which was about 5750, or so. I really wonder how many monsters the ElyR will require and if it turns out to be more or less around the same count.
So, happy hunting everybody.

=o!
Yikes. Okay, so maybe investing in Treasure Hunter will be a good idea... I'm thinking of grinding for a RoL, but man. Jinkees.

Hmmm, I'm not really convinced yet. It does a great job in keeping me alive, no doubt about it. Just now I was surrounded by 3 chaos magicians in the Iqhan cave and within one round they got me down from 218 to 108 HP.
Well, it took the rest of the room to fully replenish my life bar again. Therefore, I must conclude it is a pretty darn good little life sucking rapier.
However, it is neither really quick, nor very strong.
The 5AP are a real bummer, as well as it doesn't have any critical hit chance or a multiplier for critical hits. And the damage potential from 1-6 is rather poor for a "legendary" sword.
This rapier is all about life leaching and absolutely nothing else, which I honestly find quite a bit disappointing. The same item with 4AP and a little critical hit chance of... let's say 10% with a double damage multiplier, would make this whole weapon an entirely different thing: Truly legendary, that is
my 5 cent...
