Some players appear not to focus on HP but I like to be able to shrug off a few hits which I thought was especially important early on. Since the BWM update I realized my AD was lacking so I've upped that. Now my focus is on BC because I feel the next update will include some really hard hitting monsters. Also while grinding for the ElyR (no luck after many hours) I noticed the Wyrm trainers usually hit me with the dreaded fatigue on their second hit so the longer that takes them the better. Would like to get BC up to 60 without the chainmail or tower shield. -I hope my answer is not too detailed.

Not too detailed at all! Great answer.

At the begining I started out adding mostly to my BC thinking it would help me last longer out in the field. then started on HP, then moved onto AC and finally am on AD (now that i hit about 75% of the time.)

I'm still searching for the elusive ELyR too. Dont give up! It has to be out there somewhere. ;)

When I first started, I was upgrading evenly among AC, AD, BC and HP.
I stopped increasing AP at 50 and was then upgrading evenly among AC, AD and BC, and also buying equipment to boost those. But now after reading a lot of the advice on these forums I've been concentrating all my level ups into AC & AD. After I get my AC past 200%, I will try to get my minimum AD to 25, and then consider increasing my BC some more since I want to block those hits that cause fatigue.
I feel like the BC is really underrated on the forums, but i do agree that having a powerful AC + AD is essential. I started out working on my BC and feel like it might have made the game a little slower at the start but made it possible for me to grind in places with tuffer creatures without breaking a sweat.

I put almost all my early levels into AD, probably 8 of my first 10. I then focused on AC while adding a couple of HPs along the way. My last level went to AD, and my next one will as well. I've been finishing a lot of rounds with the Wyrms, trainers and aprentices having 1-3 HP left, so I think 1 more damage will help immensely. Then I'm going to add one more to my HP, and after that, back to AC until I'm up around 200%.
Interesting... A hard hitter right off the bat. I went with BC first then started up on my AC (adding a few to my hp along the way) & am now adding all my new points into AD.

If you think about if it takes 2-4 solid hits (depending on you AD) to take out a trainer adding 1 point to AD actually can add 4-8 damage in a single fight. so that 1 additional point would probably be enough to give you the upperhand in battle.

Ok, I stopped being lazy and unequipped my items to see what I had built up.

1) Lvl 39 - HP: 5, AC: 20, AD: 6, BC: 7

2) Lvl 38 - HP: 5, AC: 18, AD: 6, BC: 8

Its actually interesting to see how much extra AD I get from equipment, especially the +6 damage rings, and how much the wearable items and weapons/shield help with AC and BC too. I'm planning to alternate between increasing my AD & AC until I hit lvl 45 and then from there increase BC and maybe 2 more HP boosts. If I get to lvl 50 I'll probably go back to AD & AC.

for me i think bc is important, so as not to sued to much potions, AC if it is higher than the monster u can kill it ( there is a status on the monster if it is hard to kill or very easy) once i hit very easy i know there is enough AC and work on BC, then AD, hp if you have about 80 it is more than enough to sustain a blow and still attack or run away, once i hit about HP 20, i back off and use portion to rechrage

Pyrizzle wrote:Have you been trying to build your player evenly since the begining or have you been rounding out the stats as you got to a higher level?
I started out with a very even player, I kept all my skills perfectly balanced up until level 28. Then I alternated between AC, AD, and BC until 40. Then I boosted my HP to 80 and my stats were all even again. Lately it's mostly been AC and AD.

Currently:

HP: 11
AC: 18
AD: 18
BC: 13

Since my original post:

HP: 7 (currently @ 60)
AC: 19 (currently @ 155%)
AD: 17 (currently @ 18)
BC: 9 (currently @ 27%)

Original post:
HP: 7
AC: 19
AD: 4
BC: 9

I gotta say the additional +13 to AD really helps. Wonder when i am gonna stop adding to AD and start rounding out some more. I think i want to get my AC to at least 200 and get my DC to 100 at some point as well.

I too am hooked on AD. Tried adding to BC but AD gives more noticable results and really makes a difference fighting Wyrm Trainers.

Originally, I was going to alternate on increasing AC & AD over the next few level ups, but after my last post, I decided to just focus on AD for a while.

There's other posts where its mentioned that after a certain point the extra AC doesn't help as much because of the monsters' block chance being so high, so the extra damage on each hit will hopefully make up for that, especially with critical hit.

Where I've put my points:
AC: 21
AD: 11
HP: 9
Block: 0

~~Stats with equipment:
AC: 199%
AD: 25-26
Crit hit chance: 20%
Critical multiplier: 3
Block: 31%

equipment list:
fine leather cap
hard leather armour
jewel of fallhaven
venomous dagger
ring of damage +6 (2)
superior wooden shield
gloves of better grip
vacor's boots of attack

I'm grinding for the RoLS. The past 8 or so levels have all gone to
AC. I still get 'your attack missed' against the gargoyle trainers
and masters. I'm going to continue to push that stat until I stop
missing against them, or 0.6.10, or I get 2 RoLS. I don't like
missing.
