having found this legendary ring I think it is time to join this forum
I had to gain some strenght before I could visit Lodar, and this cave is a good fitness studio - especially if one could find interesting things.
1528 trainers and 1068 masters had a very short life...
Because I spent much time in the cave, I thought a new carpet might be nice:
Could be. Certainly, the average number of kills needed to get a legendary or extraordinary item is incorrect. With 0 levels of MF 6,932 kills, not 10,000, gives you a 50% chance of getting a legendary item. Assuming you have had MF3 for the entire imp bashing session, with 10018 kills your chance of getting a RoL was about 92% (it's about 63% with 0 levels of MF). So you have been rather unlucky.
I have item drop notifications disabled (and attack speed on instant; all to save time while grinding). Opened up my inventory to find a Sword of Shadow's Rage in there, don't know when I got it. Is the SoSR a Legendary drop (with the 0.01% chance), or an item awarded for the completion of a particular quest?

Harlenn dropped it.

Yes I have had MF3 for quite a while now. It toook less time to get all of the other LE/EX items that I have than it has to attempt to obtain the RoL. Up to 10,236 kills still no RoL.
Unfortunately, probability does not have a memory. Regardless of how many kills you have, the chance is always 0.01% per kill. If you stick at it you will eventually get one, but the rivers of imp blood that you have already shed make no difference as to how soon that will happen.
