NOW THAT JUST STINKS This hurts us defensive minded players to much!
I had decided yesterday that the ELyR fit my defensive build better than the RoL does b/c the RoL requires high AC to be worth it and I would rather level-up BC.


Making those 2 swords two-handed would take away the 2 best non-critical hit weapons in the game from me. I have already "invested" in the upgraded remgard shield in 2 builds that I would no longer be able to use if my 2 favs were made two-handed. Oskar, I am begging you to not make this change.

really, the main issue as it stands is...

a rapier is a one handed fencing foil, very thin and light...
the name would need to be changed to suit a larger, heavier sword.

E.G. Claymore of Lifesteal?

Ok, FINALLY got my second RoL!!!(first for my current hero)
that was on the 3rd of july... last night, i snagged my second ElyR!
(again, the first for this hero)

although, i'm sure he didn't make the classification choices lightly...
as disappointing as it sounds - i wouldn't be surprised if we got a solid 'no'.

trust me, i was hoping it would be classified as any of the one handed blade types...
and defensive builds are not the only builds to benefit from a sword like this!

The two best swords in the game can only be held in both hands?
Sounds like a way to control balance, by limiting the power of one handed weapons...

so it stinks for my build,
but i'm assuming it's his way of keeping really strong items balanced.

The Rapier of lifesteal shouldn't be two handed, if you really have to change it to a two-handed weapon, you should change its name as well. Rapiers are light and flexible swords that are used for stabbing at the tip and parrying at the forte.
