Not sure about the name for the old man... Sometimes it almost seems like jamming the keyboard will give good names for this game. Sometimes i think that might be how some have been named  ((Just kidding Oskar!!))
Lol well ukobach would be the perfect demon boss name for the name matches the characteristics of the demon

Yes the name does suit the NPC you are designing. Just remember that we can also make up names as well that are not pulled from the "real world"

You are making great progress on this quest

Yes, the map maker fled some distance away. But the fire demon cave should be somewhere near Ash, making the village a natural target.

I like this better than it being on the road to Feygard. It would allow the demon cave to be close to Ash without it being too near to Feygard itself. Carn Tower is closer to BWM, which is more of a frontier area. Feygard soldiers are already found far afield, so that distance being greater won't seem unreasonable.

At the risk of drifting a bit off topic...

I'm starting to think about the northwest in general. Dominated by Feygard itself, of course, but at least one village along the main road before you get there. Carn Tower would be manned by Feygard soldiers as an outpost to protect its territory from dangers in the mountains to the south, including the creatures now surrounding BWM (which Prim and BWMS blame on each other). Perhaps the tower itself is built on a spur at the northern end of the mountains. Feygard has been running the area north of the tower and west of the river for some time, in its militaristic fashion, but has recently began projecting its power along the main road, reaching into Loneford and affecting Fallhaven. Perhaps this Lord Geomyr is the original driving force, and is expanding after consolidating power, or perhaps his predecessors did the consolidation and this new lord has instituted an expansionist policy.

I'd love to first know if any of this would interfere with already-laid plans, and if not, want to expand on it a little as back story for the future development of the area.

Anyway, end of digression...Pyro, feel free to chop this part out and move to another thread or another forum, as you think is appropriate

Noticed another discrepency in the quest here...

The Mapmaker requests you to find a Phoenix Quill but the Phoenix won't show up until after you have killed [Insert NPC name]. But you are not able to get to [Insert NPC Name] until after you have brought the mapmaker his supplies.

Does this quest include a Tardis? (kidding!)

Can we maybe replace this requested item with something similar (We could create some sort of ostrich looking bird that lives in the area if needed), kinda like how there are wondering wolves or foxes in areas (They don't need to be big or powerful really)

We could even make it so they drop 2 special items:
- Broken Feather (This is unusable for the quest but can be sold for a few coins) drop rate 1:10
- [Bird NPC] Feather (Good for quill, will only drop once, quest item) Drop rate 1:50
