with no MF skill spent, i'm currently on ~3600 kills in gargoyle cave and zero RoLS. i wonder your approximate kills to get that ring. i think i'll give up in 5000 milestone if i don't get one

There's graph somewhere (propability vs number of kills), i guess you had propability about 20% in total so far

At 3600 kills you had about a 30% chance of getting one. Probability does not have a memory, so if you kill 1400 more there's a 13% chance that will get you one.

I just got a Black Defender for my Quickstrike wielding hero at 699 Crimson Jelly. Which is about half the amount needed for the other hero.
Edit:. what's really odd is I just looked at my inventory and I have two of these shields now.
