Just got my first legendary item. ElyR 568 bones 61 weak poisons. Level 36 MF 0.

Took over 3200 masters/trainers to get Redeemer, then took months and 11381 imps to get Rapier, then right after getting the Rapier went strait to get Ring of Lifesteal and got it in under 20 kills and under 5 minutes - don't have magic finder and don't know how it happened nut may the Shadow be with you!

Did the drop rates go up
Took me 625 Shadow gargoyle trainers and 295 masters to get
The ring
And 1297 imps to get the rapier
For the ring was at magic finder 1 maybe 2 I forget and just put a third point into it 10 minutes before getting the rols

That's what I thought when the RoLS dropped early but once the RoL dropped for me still under 2k kills for the imps figured I'd ask even with magic find 3 it was much sooner then I expected.
My Numbers are closer to 0.1 % drop rate . I'm the luckiest it would appear

I got RoLS at 161 kills, with MF 0.

IMO MF is really useful for extraordinary grinding, but for Legendary it is only about luck (unless you spent dozens of skill points, it might be useful for legendary then... but I am at MF5 and it is useless for legendary. However, I got most of my extraordinary iteps at less than 300 kills)

It's not useless for legendary items. With MF 0 you need 23025 kills to have a 90% chance of getting the item. With MF 5 you need 6578 kills for the same chance (see here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6613). That's still a lot of kills, but it's not nearly as many as with MF 0
