Weapon categories: What about it? How it will be set up? Which items qualify for which category?

Cooked meat: Are you asking about the food you can buy in stores or the ability to cook meats you find to make them more effective?

Shop quantities: How many of each item in store? Raise of lower amount of BMPs you are able to buy at once (right now it is 50, but you can rest and buy more right away)?

I vote, if I may, for monster faster respawn, Shop that trades in L/E items, and special skills trees based on in game choices, titled "good vs evil skills".

#2 and #3, 8-), the achievment list, well, I think it would at least stur up some more competition on the forums (as if we dont have enough already). The faster monster respawn intrigues me (to say the least), I think I would stop using the 'save/reload'' teqnique if they could spawn faster.

If I was a game designer,
I would want to keep my players playing as often as possible.
What would stop them from playing?
if they enjoyed the game, what would keep them playing?
How can I increase my player base and get new players?
How can I receive more feedback from my player base?
What actions can I set into motion that will accomplish these tasks?

these seem like obvious questions but anyone posting suggestions or thinking about ways they would like to see the game progress should maintain a nonbiased attitude with the future of the game at stake. Remember that people naturally fear change and resist it but to not change guarantees failure.

Weapons damage a percentage of your base damage
Dual wielding
Area and distance attacks
Pet (dog or cat), trainable and can fight and level like in NetHack
Spells, bows, guns - a more sophisticated combat system
New Game+
etc...

Weapons damage a percentage of your base damage: What do you mean?

Duel wielding is already in the works. (in V7 i believe)

Area and distance attacks / Spells, bows, guns etc: IMO i don't see ranged attacks fitting into the Andor's Trail play style.

Pets: This has been brought up before but as far as i remember it wasn't very well liked.

New Game+ (or starting over with gear) : On this one there are too many problems that would come up. One thing is that players would be able to get all the weaponry from both sides of a quest from doing this, plus starting over is half the fun really. I do it all the time.

Now if you were talking about being able to start over with a higher difficultly, a decision on how that would work would need to be make only when the game was near completion.

+1
I think anything that makes the game more enjoyable fits into the game.
the new game + is a matter of opinion. I happen to think starting the game over with nothing sucks and there isn't really anything wrong with starting over and accumulating items from multiple quests. The game is saved to the user's personal disc and doesn't interfere with any other players. If the player wants to...then why not if they want to put the time in to do it? If you don't want to do it then simply don't.
I looked and I didn't find a list or even a post regarding what is defined as AT play style.
Is there a place I can find what oskar is looking for in terms of suggestions?
Do you have such a list pyrizzle?
