I mean no offense by what I am about up say, but how can you be at level 29 and not have figured out by now what equipment works best for your strategy and character build?

Generally when people say, "No offense, but..." they're about to say something offensive.

-If you get sick of looking for the RoLS, which I personally believe is a waste of time if you compare its stats to the stats of the Polished Ring of Backstabbing + the stats you'd earn grinding in a better location, you can just buy two PRoB.
-I also like the Troublemaker's Gloves and Villian's Leather Armour that you can purchase in the same location.
-Is that the Strong Wooden Tower Shield?
-Most people wear the Jewel of Fallhaven or one that gives DR, I prefer JoF.
-Don't think there is a really good hat. Mathematically, I think the regular Leather Cap is the best buy.
-You already have Vacor's Boots of Attack. I don't think it gets better than that, but some people like Woodcutter's Boots.
-And, of course, I like the Dagger of the Shadow Priest, but if you don't have it yet, I think Flagstone's Pride would work okay until then.

In my opinion you should always try every possibility of sets of weapons until you can decide what's best for u.
If u want an offensive build then polished ring of backstabbing(PROB) is the best but you can always use it with ROLS if u want!

If. U are going for defensive or balanced build ROLS and RoL fits best for you :-)

Ps:i can see u have low hp at that level so u should get a. Skill or two in Fortitude as early as possible :-)

I couldn't agree more, of course, you're talking to someone that has 517hp...

EDIT:
Ha, as I reread this to myself, I said horsepower in my head because, oddly enough, that happens to be the exact number of rwhp my Cobra dyno'd at and I've verbalized "517 horsepower" numerous times. Funny how the mind works.

I forgot where Troublemaker's gloves and Villain's leather armour are but

you can find PROB in crossguard station

You can loot Dagger of Shadow Priest in iqhan caves north east of loneford by defeating the boss at the end of caves but blieve me you aren't ready yet to face those monsters so dont go there at present :P

I agree compleatly that the PROB is a must have for someone who wants a high CC, and also agree with getting increaded Fortitude as soon as possible.

Great posts on this thread. +1 to most

i use gear that compliment my skills...
Rapier of Lifesteal + Corpse Eater Skill
Hard Leather Armor & Wooden Defender + Bark Skin Skill
Ring of Lesser Shadow + Regeneration Skill

this leaves me with no Critical what so ever,
and i am perfectly happy that way.

so many ways to go - my biggest piece of advice...
is to watch out for gear that lower your stats!

some gear is just lousy with negative stats,
other gear is so powerful in one aspect that it gets negative stat to balance it out.

for instance, my shield offers Damage Reduction - but it lower Criticals
this works for me because i chose to ignore Criticals anyway.

just some thoughts...
