I am just waiting for the one true god to be shown in AT.... Pyrious the Fire Lord! All hail his Glory. Bask in the light of the flame or be burned by it!
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.
Give a man a fire and he will be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Pyrious the Fire Lord, scared of water, wind and sand Very very powerful
When everyone is against you, there's always the Shadow standing with you.
The Shadow is our comforting mother that nurtures us in her loving embrace..The Shadow is always with us..The Shadow loves the day, as it is then that we see most clearly that we are never alone..The Shadow is there with us when we die, and we are comforted by her presence.. The Shadow helps us in time of sickness, and we are honored by the sacrifice of the dead to cure us, knowing that someday we will sacrifice ourselves to do the same for future generations...
The Shadow is everything, and those who try to force us to abandon our dear mother will be made to see...
Really liked this thread, so thought I'd make a contribution
Nice revival of the shadow thread, no pun intended.
I have always pictured the Shadow as evil in all aspects (What the heck is that dirty dirty Buceth doing next to Loneford's shadow priest?!).
Hasn't the "Background history of AT" thread described the priestly ordinances of the shadow as a derivative of the mythical shamans of doom?
Anyway, I think the shadow has, superficially, become a religious phenomenon that regular people are generally ok with, but in its heart of hearts, unbeknownst to the religious town folk, the shadow is only lurking and slowly growing and waiting for the right opportunity to pounce. What do its forces of evil look like and what is its greatest impediments to accomplishing domination? Well, its evil forces come in many forms, including demon-like creatures that dwell underground and above-ground creatures and humans that have been deviously corrupted, like the Iqhan and charwood goblins. Lord Geomyr is a serious pain in the ass as a dictator-ish king, but perhaps knows the evil that is the shadow is creeping everywhere. He tries and uses force to stamp it out as if it was a fire. And he's pissed, but very protective.
