[besides - you need to be level 50 to get Max Barkskin]
(that was Oskar's point)

IMO, it is over powerd in case of low-level builds too. And after 6.11 there are no need to pick hifh level in bart skin anymore..

you shoulda said they don't need it "yet"

players can't get barkskin "quickly"
you need (10xp lvls & 15%bc) per rank in barkskin...
you miss out on VERY nice skills (and level points)
by taking barkskin more than one time

(to paraphrase Oskar's defense of not limiting DR)

and they never will. Oskar has said that the game will not be developed with the high level characters in mind. I love DR and will continue to increase it when possible, but at almost 200HP and counting, DR is becoming more and more irrelevant.

If that's the case, then why was I able to blow through all 10 quests without even breaking a sweat? He is not going to be able to "support high level characters" (I.e. provide them a challenge ) and be able to support low level characters. I have no problems with this at all. Off topic, so I will end it there.

I do not think that DR is overpowered. Even if you have DR of 11, when monsters in just the Iqhan cave can deal over 30 HP of damage/attack and have 2-3 attacks/turn, you can still take over 20 HP of damage/attack and over 40/turn. That is still a lot of damage, and if you are fighting with chaotic grip (-1 DR/level of c.g.) you will take even more. I applaud Oscar's decision to leave it alone.
