Right now the player is exploring the world, figuring out what is going on. One day he will go on and try to change the world. One option would be to pursue more shadow priests to make potions, to gather allies in a fight against Feygard, organize resistance...

Or the other way round: hunt down all those shadow minions and establish Feygard law and order.

That would be a very interesting and extended plot branch...

Oskar said something about a basic plot line that he has figured out beforehand, I think it is bound to go that direction. But maybe there's a whole different thing coming up...

I'd like to remind everyone that there's more than two factions in the game. There are at least five factions that have made themselves known to us for now. There's the Shadow and Feygard, who are about to enter a war; there's the thieves guild, who are goading both sides into battle for some reason, like stealing stuff from Feygard and blaming it on the Shadow priests, helping the Shadow priests succeed with their plans to poison Loneford, and giving them Feygard's superior weaponry to even the fight; then there's Kazaul and Elythara, the (almost) forgotten god and goddess of the times before the Shadow. They wait for the fight to begin so that they can come out in the chaos and regain their old glory and followers. The game has a lt of factions and IMO you would all do well to remember them all.
