I'd call that evil, but i can't call shadow as a whole evil. Just that one evil doer who happens to be part of the shadow.

Agreed someone made that same statement earlier. We shall have to see what becomes of the shadow later on in the game.

Of course in an ecosystem where deities take a more "hands on" approach you'd think those people wouldn't live to reproduce.
