Skills:

Hard Hit (ad) +1
Weapon Accuracy (ac) +12%
Dodge (bc) +9%

What if we were to ajust these skills so that they would give the equivilent of 4 level up bonuses.

HH: +4
WA: +20%
D: +12%

I feel like these 3 skills could become a lil more useful this way. (WA could be left where it is at but i feel that HH and Dodge need ajustments)

+4 for hard hit seems too powerful, and that's coming from someone who likes their character as strong as possible. I would make HH +2 at most.

But the boost would definitely make those skills seem more worthwhile.

I agree that Weapon Accuracy and Hard Hit could be made into prerequisites for new skills in a later version, but the current skills work for me.
But I'm the sort of player that doesn't mind grinding for an eternity ;)

I think that WA & D are fine. but a +2 to HH sounds good and balanced. This is one of the reasons that none of my characters have taken the HH skill is because I can just level up and get the same. Better to use the skill point elsewhere.

So:
HH: +2
WA: +12
D: +9

I think this is fair and balanced and worth the skill point since AD is so important.

how if:
HH: +1 AD and -1 to target DR (piercing) ?

Sarumar,

You didn't write anything in the post above this.

I think he wrote this part, but it ended up in the quote of the previous post.
how if:
HH: +1 AD and -1 to target DR (piercing) ?

Which is an interesting idea, and effectively the same as +1 to AD, but won't be counted in any critical multipliers so its less likely to be seen as over powered.

+1 for -1 of targets DR
I say let the values as they are but spend each of the 3 skills bonus - like the -1 target DR for HH, -1 on defence reduction for D, and -1 on attack reduction for WA

That makes those skills even more valuable especially for low Lvl Char. With high Lvl Chars there is not really a need for most of the skills since those Chars are so powerfull (don't read this as overpowered - only the sky is the limit)

Critic to high Lvl skills: if we like to make those nice skills worth for a try I say lower the Lvl threshold for the Lvl above 30. I do not believe that more than 0.1% of AT players have the enthuiasm to play two or three Chars up into those XP regions needed to gain them. How many people quit before they reach lvl 50?
Maybe it would be interesting by checking this through polls how many of us (as mentioned before: we freaks are not representative) go for those special skills.
I don't want them to vanish - I gave some of them a try with cheated chars but in the end, when I thought about the time I have to spend to reach the XP with no-cheating to get them I knew only the quick learner is worth to go for (imho!) and ignore the high lvl skills. My "old" Usirim builds didn't have the QL but I play nearly only builds with moderate to high share of QL skills. And reaching lvl 100 and thinking about 10 lvl of QL then is imho a waste of time. How should I get 3 Chars until end of 2013 above Lvl 124?
