Villians Blade can be found from Dunla in the Vilegard Tavern, so very close to the gargoyle cave. Also, I'd go with Inc Fort level 2 as soon as you can to help avoid having to use level up bonuses in HP. And I like Regen, especially now that I have an ROLS, cuz you get 2 HP per round when resting in a corner.

To answer your question to me, the villains blade is sold by the bandit looking guy in the guard house, so you don't need to complete any quests to get it, just money.

There are some spots where you are forced to fight multiple monsters at once to get through, and cleave can be very helpful with that. Level 2 (along with max combat speed and JoF) gives you 2 extra attacks per kill with 3AP cost weapons, and one extra attack should you choose a heavier weapon like the skull crusher or gut splitter. But if you don't want cleave I would recommend a few (or even all 4) levels of evasion for hit and run tactics.

Regeneration is more helpful early on but the more you level up and the more powerful you become the less you'll want to stand around waiting to heal, especially if you have increased fortitude and your HP keeps getting higher so getting hit a few times becomes less dangerous. So in the long run,I like corpse eater more. But, there are still creatures with powerful critical hits so if you don't want to use up a skill point, try to get the Ring of Lesser Shadows which gives the status of shadow regeneration. It doesn't stack so you'd only have to try for one.

thanks duke n mino :)

so..i think i'll put combat skill then hard hit then cleave...

instead of regeneration, i prefer corpse eater for this build.

level 28 now...already put one skill for combat speed.
