Re: Shop that trades in Legendary/Extraordinary items
OK If we are seriously talking about this shop then what if the shop only sales items that you have grinded for and have not recieved. For instance if the measure item for the Rol is 1000 Polished sparkling Gems and you have already recieved that many (meaning you have killled a lot of imps) then the item should be "unlocked" in the store and available for purchase. Since there is no guarantee that you may ever recieve a Legendary item even after killling 10,000 imps then the shop would be available at that time.
Meaning you could recieve a Rols early after killing a few hundred Gargoyle Trainers and not be able to purchase the ring in the store.
The Flip side is that you could kill over 20,000 Imps and not have gotten the RoL giving you the option to purchase the RoL in the store.
This means you still have to work for it (thinking of you Tek), which still makes it worth it, but still allows you to recieve it even if the monsters haven't dropped it.

Re: Shop that trades in Legendary/Extraordinary items
Well more things drop small rocks besides the shadow gargoyle trainers. Each creature that drops a l/e item would need one specific unique drop to do this by. Guys in flagstone drop small rocks (if I'm not mistaken).

Oh wow, sorry for the double post butI just had an awesome thought on this. I remember someone (insider) saying the game keeps track of more things than you could imagine. Can the game tell how many gargoyles I have killed? Maybe it could be based off that since it would be surefire (if it would work of course).

That is actually where I was going with it other than the measure item just for the same reasons you pointed out. A lot of enemies drop small rocks so there is no way that the small rocks could be used to "unlock" the purchase of an L&E item.PK17 wrote:Oh wow, sorry for the double post but I just had an awesome thought on this. The only problem that I have yet to figure out is how Magic Finder would play into it.

Re: Shop that trades in Legendary/Extraordinary items
I still think one you have access to the shop it will have all the items available, just for exorbitant prices. Selling your duplicate L/E items makes good sense.

I personally don't agree, but on a different level.Tulkas wrote:Selling your duplicate L/E items makes good sense.
I think the very existence of duplicate L/E items doesn't make any sense. Just how many hats does your ordinary Valugha have?
Still playing this game at level 5, collected all extraordinaries, now some precious ring would be useful...

Re: Shop that trades in Legendary/Extraordinary items
Okay okay now we have drifted a bit off the main topic:
Shop that trades Legendary and Extraordinary items
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I do like the idea of being able to trade in the counting items (like the small rock, poished gems, etc) in hopes of being able to get the Legendary items.
My one concern: You get the counting items while hunting for the object, once you got one of the Legendary items there is a pretty good chance that at that point you may have enough Counting items to trade in for another Legendary item (kinda Making it Find one, get one free) lol
Cool concept but there are loopholes in this idea.

Re: Shop that trades in Legendary/Extraordinary items
I still like my first thought of having a unique currency for L/E items, and being able to trade in your L/E items for the unique currency. Let's call the currency Heart of the Mountain (beautiful gem). Say you can sell a ROLS for 1 Heart of the Mountain, but to buy a ROLS you need 10 Heart of the Mountains.
