I played number one way back when, but I never got number two. I am dissapointed in the variety of skills, but I'm still having a great time playing. I'd advise getting it, but wait for the first price drop.

Im curious are the Skyrim worth of buying ? Nowadays i have not much of time (: so i do not buy new games often.
Worth buying... It's a question of point of view, the graphics are astonishing, the gameplay is interesting but most of the quest are pointless (go take this (x) to (x) then OMG he's evil, kill (x)).
Worth cracking... Yes!
Yo ho ho...

One last warning, It's really time consuming (and you need a good cpu to appreciate it)
personally - i feel like Skyrim is catered for more casual players than the prior Elder Scrolls games,
Oblivion is a stronger game (IMHO) for the more serious player.

don't get me wrong, Skyrim is incredible...
but you lose versatility & customization in lieu of ease of play & simplistic questlines.

again, just a humble opinion - please don't be offended by my "feelings"

;)

Nyktos, Morrowind was for the hardcore gamers, oblivion was a cakewalk (but it was still absolutely amazing)

Dark Souls and Demon Souls, those are games for hardcore players. The Elder Scroll series are cakewalks.

Just like NetHack :-)

If you think Diablo 3 is too easy / not like D2, try Path of Exile. IMHO what D3 should have been.

agreed!

it seems like the further back you go, the more difficult things were...

gotta love the pain the old school games brought.

Seriously! Remember how unforgiving the old Atari and Nintendo games were? If you over jumped by even one pixel, your DEAD!

I have been playing the Original Zelda game on my Wii and it's been such a blast from the past.

Reason why I love it when some game developers do not shy away from challenge. What is the fun in easy achievement?

So, anybody playing Dark Souls?

Oh, edit, found out Nethack got ported including some tilesets, it is free, had a blast :-)

Got my wife hooked on Demon's Souls last night. Funny that she hates Skyrim but loves Demon's Souls cause it is easier. :?

I have no clue what any of you are talking about. :D I haven't owned a gaming console since 1999.
Video games were to much of a distraction for me back while in college so I got rid of them and haven't looked back.
