From a completely different point of view.....

If you just spent all 100 skill points possible in game on hh and all your level up points on either accuracy or dodge. Your toon would have a dr of 1 to 200. Could you imagine fighting something. One turn 4 damage next turn 163 damage. Lol.

I agree that hh should increase base atk as well. But I only like the 1-1. Anything more and everyone will play the same cleave build....

When comparing this with WA and Dodge we find the following

HH is on average worth 1 level of damage increase
WA is worth 2.4 levels of % to hit
Dodge is worth 3 levels of block chance

Hard hit is clearly the underpowered one in this list

Cowboy, you may already know this but the wording on your post was a bit ambiguous - AC is not % chance to hit. The CtH formula is based off of the difference between your AC and the monster's BC.

@Devs.... can we please get rid of the % symbols with regards to AC and BC?

I already wrote something in that sense. As soon as I have Oskar's agreement, I will proceed to obliterate them !

That Cowboy used "%" in his post, had nothing to do with actual percentage. Try changing the "%" with "AC" in his post and you'll get that he got a good point.

Edit:

I remember talking about this in an earlier topic I created:
Oet wrote:Unbalanced skills
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but aren't the skills a bit unbalanced? I am thinking about Weapon Accuracy, Hard Hit and Dodge.
Weapon Accuracy gives you 12% AC for each level.
Hard Hit hives you 2 AD each level.
Dodge gives you 9% BC each level.

Here's my point. If you want as much stats as possible, you will not choose Hard hit.
You get a skill point each 4 levels.
In 4 levels, by leveling up, you can get either 20% AC, 4 AD or 12% BC.

Weapon Accuracy will give you 60% of what you would have got by leveling that skill in 4 levels.
Hard Hit will give you 50% of what you would have got by leveling that skill in 4 levels.
Dodge will give you 75% of what you would have got by leveling that skill in 4 levels.

So, by other words, by never picking BC and instead leveling Dodge Skill, would max out the character faster?
(for the sake of making this as easy as possible, just imagine you have maxed out the other skills)

@Saru & fiernaq: as soon as I find some time to open my dev environment, I will make a patch for it and submit it to Oskar.

Back to topic, I changed my vote to 3-3 as I believe the comparison with level up bonuses is a correct one, and Oet makes a good point.

I only took this, so i can pick Cleave later on.
If it wasn't necessary for Cleave, i wouldn't have picked it.

Like mentioned in other posts, it's a skill that you can achieve with basic levelling up, it doesn't give a real bonus.
A real bonus would be be, for example, some exponential damage.. 10% extra damage (on basestats) for every skillpoint in Hard Hit for example. This would generate 1 extra damage if basedamage is 10, 2 when 20 ect ect. A bit like the way Increased Fortitude works. That skill really pays off in the long run.
