Go east from the Crossroad Guardhouse on the Dulein Road. It is between that guardhouse and the Jelly/Slime Cave or the entrance to the green maze. Look for a wolfpack.

I see a frightful wolf and can't go forward. I tried a restore fear potion, but it didn't work. Is there something I'm missing?

Where is this? If its the axe you have to get for the woodcutter in fallhaven you should be able to kill it. If you have a fear effect, look at your equipment, might have so.something to do with that

You can't approach it until you have initiated a certain quest.

Got it. Thanks everyone. I'm Level 94 and killing hundreds of Arulirs, but this darn wolf scares me stiff. Sounds like talking to a guard I should have talked to a long time ago will settle my nerves.
