I'm grinding for the RoLS. The past 8 or so levels have all gone to
AC. I still get 'your attack missed' against the gargoyle trainers
and masters. I'm going to continue to push that stat until I stop
missing against them, or 0.6.10, or I get 2 RoLS. I don't like
missing.
It is impossible to guarantee a hit as the formula used to calculate the chance of a hit works in such a way that there is diminishing returns the bigger the difference between your attack chance and the mobs block chance. Thus it takes more and more points to get a 0.1% increase to hit, the bigger the difference. I aim for 80% chance to hit, based on observation and then put points into damage.

I did it the same way, after I started hitting the enemies more often I have been putting all my stats into AD, I feel like this has paid off really well for me in the long run.

I build first some AD and HP. Then:
-AC to 150
-HP to 60, it helps with bobemetal
-AC to 200
-HP to 100, IMO it is boring and wasting of HP if you need to use potion in midle off battle
-AC to 250

Every now and then i raise AD. I like to be able kill monsters with 2 hit. Novadays I build BC. Goal is 150

Currently my stats are:
HP 15
AC 27
AD 26
BC 27

Leve1-5.......AD
Level 6-10....HP
Level 11-15...AD

I wasn't the least bit interested in wasting points into BC and I don't use a shield at the moment. When I realised 100% atk chance didn't mean what it says I thought let's leave that stat as I have no idea what it goes up to. It could be 999% lol.

Snake cave is a breeze now but wolf cave still quite hard. gargoyle cave is deathwish. I've never carried bonemeal potions or meat with me either cause usually I am saving up for equipment rather than spending all my. money on a few bonemeal potions that would get used up very quickly. I plan on putting the next 5 levels into HP again, or maybe AC if you think its worth it? I usually reload anyway if I miss a bunch of times and get hit back

Impressive stats my friend. I'm pretty close to you in AD already but i have not been adding much to HP since i find 60 to be a god spot to stop at.

My current Stats: (w/o weapons)
HP: 7
AC: 24
AD: 24
BC: 9

I also started a 2nd player: Mini-me
HP: 0
AC: 10
AD: 3
BC: 0

I feel IMO that somewhere between 150-200% AC means you will be hitting at least 2/3 of the times you swing. On the other hand if you are using the save/reload technic it wont be as important and you may want to keep adding to AD instead to get battles to end faster.

The effect from adding to a stat is deminishing so as you put more and more into it the effect or payout gets smaller and smaller, thus you can never really reach a point where you will hit 100% of the time.

Thanks - i got too much freetime and/or need some therapy :)

Seriously i really like this game. IMO it is the best timekiller, there is no need of thinking too much - I can do another thinks simultaneously. I build HP because i am too lazy to use potions ;)

Your build is very impressive too my fried

I started my 2nd character as an experiment.

I havent added anything to my BC as I have been leveling up. Instead I have been adding to my hp.

So in exchange for being hit less often I will need to heal less often making my players stats more consentrated until I reach the point where I one hit everything. I already got all my equipment geared twards heavy BC and it gets me to (my stats w/o equipment)
HP: 45
AC: 125
AD: 4
BC:0

So far so good, I'm adding to my HP after my stats with equipment gets AC to at least 150%.

Its an odd build but it works.
