Although I can't say anything about its usefulness yet I'm so happy to own it!

Definitely not going to grind for anything now, I think I gained 10 levels during grinding.
Congratulations! the happy feeling in the end.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum, but not to the game. I've been working on getting my first RoLS, and is getting kinda monotonous. I'm planning on keeping up the work till I get one. I've killed almost 4000 trainers and masters combined, and have a little over 900 rocks so far. I got to 751 rocks and decided to finally added a skill point to magic find in order to hopefully get one faster. I'll let yall know when I get the ring and how many rocks it took. Love the game, kinda reminds me of the old Nintendo game Zelda.

I finally got 1 just last night, killed a little more than 6400 trainers and masters and 1554 rocks. I put 1 skill point on Magic Find at 751 rocks and again at 1365 rocks. I'm working on my second RoLS so far a little less than 450 kills and 86 rocks.

So far....

Shadow gargoyle trainers and masters: 11,686
Small rocks: 3,124
Polished gems: 1,143
Rings of Lesser Shadow: 0

I'm beginning to get a little discouraged, as I realize that all my prior efforts mean precisely squat, and I'm absolutely no closer than I was when I entered this darn cave.

I guess I can't complain too much though, because I got the Rapier of Lifesteal for free. I didn't even know what it was, and it showed up in my inventory through normal questing.

Oh well, back to the grind. Wish me luck :)

ETA: Oh yeah, 0 points in magic finder... I just can't do it.

hmm, i've got mine after 2500 kills or so,
but after i got it, it said it was a LEGENDARY item,(which means you get one on every 10000 kills on average) when I'm pretty sure the sticky post on this forum said it was EXTRAORDINARY!(one in every 1K kills)
no wonder i got very discouraged after 2000 kills(I was like "*** I should have 2 RoLS by now, and how many do I have? NONE! ****ing NONE!!")

seems I was lucky now that I think about it...

wow and I thought I had it bad. Took me a little over 10k imps to get one RoL. Guess i was very luck in my hunt for RoLS as it only took around 2k of trainers and masters for me to get 2 RoLS.

Ok so I have a RoLS question. I'm currently at like 2500 kills combined, plus about 1k on save and load. My question is, since I've resorted to save and load currently because I'm impatient, how is the drop generated? What I mean is, if I kill the 2 that I'm standing next to when I load, and one respawns on the other side of the room and I load instead of fighting him, is there a chance he was holding the RoLS, or is the drop generated upon killing the enemy, or even when you initiate a fight? I don't want to risk loading and losing the ring that was on an enemy I didn't fight, and I don't know how the whole coding thing works.
