hm, I got a bit suspicious – could it really be 2 RolS in 1 combat? With this nasty propability?
So I walked through the source code and found some interesting thing indeed:
For items with a low drop rate (that means legendary items) the drop_rate and drop_amount increases when fighting several attackers in a single combat!!
The code is not obvious, but this is what it does:
- If drop rate is less than 1:100 then the drop rate will be multiplied with 0.14 * 10^(numberOfAttackers - 1)
That means:
2 attackers: multiplies drop rate with 1.4,
3 attackers: multiplies drop rate with 14,
4 attackers: multiplies drop rate with 140,
5 attackers: (is that possible?) with 1400
- And even more important: you get more items with more attackers:
drop amount = (numberOfAttackers – 1)
These code lines look rather harmless and are placed among other complex caclulations. But they increases propability, so now I understand why I got 2 legendary items in a single combat!
Looks like a back door for quick getting legendary items! Sorry that now it is revealed
From now on I know how to get my RolS, when starting a new character …
