You're absolutely right. I hope you'll pardon me for getting so comfortable here. Kindly escorting us to the appropriate topic was truly a gentleman's touch, and my first experience of its kind. Why, I don't even feel dirty. ;)
Thank you for the kind words. :)

Also, I believe my surge on the high score list was a result of all of the things ctnbeh13 mentioned. I had QL5 and played a lot as a result of the fun new skills. Now Pyrizzle has given me a reason to keep going when I was feeling able to slack after jumping all the way up to #8 from #16 (in that he said he was going to catch me).
(oh and i will.)
I am almost to level 79 now (only 10,000 xp to go, easy!) . Hopefully i can hit 80 before the sun sets today (i got some time on my hands today)

Dont worry, the only reason for posing my question was to make sure that it wouldn't be considered off topic. Highscore is a list, more so than a topic, at least that was my understanding as to why Samuel made the time to compile it as well as the time to maintain it.

Samuel himself has been moderating his own topic, and has been very lenient in regard to members drifting off topic, which is not only considerate on his part, but rather dull in terms of a topic, if all you can post here is statements thanking Samuel for making the time to create, maintain, or add someone to the list. Most other conversation or statements made by members outside of that, could truly fall more appropriately under another topic as Pyrizzle pointed out earlier (my previous post concerning this was one sincerely out of appreciation, even though I attempted to include some humor).

Essentially what I learned early on concerning the Highscore list, or topic was, that it is a great point of reference for players seeking guidance, advice, or general answers, to reference the list and pick out someone, perhaps in the top 10, for assistance. It also stands as an alternative goal for players to strive to achieve placement on, and rise in the ranks of (in terms of healthy competition).

For me personally, I have found it of late to be an entertaining form of tracking the insane amount of Chaosreapers that players have been acquiring. After I collected 20 of them, I decided to eliminate them from my stats altogether, as they are taking up more space than I care for, with the 255 character limitation being in place. I additionally chose to remove them as they are not legendary items, and in my opinion, it's only a matter of time before the list of extraordinary items grows to a point that either the 255 character limitation will have to be raised, or they just won't fit in your signature.

No that didn't hurt one bit, now did it?

What I find odd is that after gaining over 8 million experience in the cave, I still only have 1 Chaosreaper.

On the plus side, I did have another 1 million+ experience day!! Pyrizzle, we may have to have to agree on a day of rest to organize cards / complete other Magic related tasks. I need a new Legacy deck for a tournament I'm going to.

That is quite odd that you have gotten that much XP but only have gotten one Chaosreaper... There are not too many of the chaos beasts that drop it in the cave, most of the XP would have came from the Iqhan Masters and the others.

(that is a convo for another forum my friend, but i would be glad to bounce ideas back and forth with you.)

Please add me to the "rankings competition". Thank you.

Excellent points on the Quick Learner Skill. I had not even considered that the skill would contribute to a more rapid rise in the rankings! I’ll allocate some levels to this skill now.

Having considered that one specific skill would help some rise in the rankings above others, perhaps we should reconsider what attributes contribute to a ranking. Perhaps possession of legendary and extraordinary items should also be a weighted factor? The amount of gold one possesses? The number of blood splatters on the character's armor? etc.

I worry that the more players are motivated by a desire to be top ranked, the greater the temptation for falsely recording stats. It is, after all, a self reported set of numbers.
