ME!!! After quitting for months thinking the game was dead in the water, I'm amazed I was still the fifth person to level 100, and currently in 5th place on the list.

i get what you're saying, about not wanting to restart until it's a completed game, but since i'm one of those who also likes to "play the wheels off", as nyktos so aptly put it, an unfinished game is kind of a rare opportunity; i can replay with each update, and perfect my build for each stage as i go along.
as opposed to playing the whole game through, then going all the way back to square one, to apply what i've learned. by the time the final update comes out, i should be able to play the whole game through to the finish, with a satisfyingly low-level character.
when the final update does finally roll around, i hope somebody does post a "finish the game at the lowest level" challenge. i'll be ready. that sort of challenge would actually make using skill points wisely a more important part of the game. if you needed the RoLS for your build, for example, you'd want to invest points in MF, since grinding for the ring would level you up.
and you definitely WOULDN'T want QL. (YAY! i'm finally back on topic!)

You would also want to avoid Failure Mastery as well, but people could always do suicide runs to keep their XP low as they are playing.

I can't imagine that Nyktos or Pyrizzle did not save their level 1s that have done everything that is currently doable right now, and imagine they will carry those through each update to see if they can maintain level 1 to the end of the game. (No skill points for them.) If they have to, they could always split one off and level him just a tiny bit if necessary.

You assume correctly. We do have our lvl 1 adventures saved on our phones. I was thinking of trying for a RoLS with mine at some point, but i have been too busy trying to collect the L+E items on my main the last few weeks or so.

With the next update (V0.6.11) alot of the tricks that we used to get out of sticky situations will not be available to us anymore (the development team are quick learners). All though we do have an advantage when the next version does come out since we have all the other quests already finished.

Are they changing when / how often you can save? Are they changing the strike and flee method? Are they putting level requirements on equipping certain items?

as far as i can tell, the strike / flee method is being rendered useless,
they were talking about it over there almost as soon as Pyrizzle & I started the challenge
it looks like they plan on having mobs full-heal when you flee - but dont quote me!

i too want a ring for my level one, just for the absurdity
but VERY little play time of late...

quick learner?
HAHAHA!
our level ones = Slow Learner!
