Maybe a bug, not sure.
Why does it say my "critical hit skill" is 16 when I am not using a critical hit weapon?

Yes, but in v0.6.10 it was clearer that I had no criticals as the critical multipler read 0.
Now it just says chs is 16. This needs to be more intuitive to the player.

yeah, i agree that looks confusing...

"Effective Critical Chance" should be displayed as 0% if your weapon is incapable of dealing critical hits.

"Effective Critical Chance" is not listed at all (label or value) when a non-critical weapon is equipped.

What does "critical hit skill" mean anyway?

I believe that "critical hit skill" is the new name for what used to be critical chance, and is equal to it, so your non-weapon gear must total 16%CC.

No lady black, I believe that is the effective critical chance you speak of.

No, the newly named critical hit skill is what goes into the formula to give the new effective critical chance.

what you see now ~ what saw in the past

Critical Multiplier ~ Critical Multiplier
Critical Hit Skill ~ Critical Chance
Effective Critical Chance ~ (this is new*)

*[a non-linear formula was added to come up with this stat, based on CHS]
