Re: Rate my build
Those pesky lil spiders really take a toll. A lot of builds (from pre-remgard) were not prepared for what was released in that update.Wyrmspawn wrote:Yeah... Until Remgard came up, my rhino build was invincible...

And i have a gut feeling that we will continue to do that in the future.
Build strong & build hard!
Happy hunting!

Re: Rate my build
So, I can give an update on my build...
New stats...
Lvl 54 (Base stats in brackets)
HP 161(137)
AP 12(10)
AP Cost 4
AC 281%(190%)
AD 24-35(20)
CS -5
BC 135%(18%)
DR 1(0)
RoL lifesteal bonuses
Skills - Weapon Accuracy (1), Dodge (4), Combat Speed (2), Increased Fortitude (3), Evasion (2), Dark Blessing of the Shadow (1), Taunt (1)
Equipment - Rapier of Lifesteal, Enhanced combat helmet, Champion's chain mail, Marrowtaint, Remgard shield, Enchanted Remgard gloves, Enhanced combat boots, Villain's Ring, Ring of the protector
Now I've also made another character which I've lvled to if I remember correctly lvl 39, and other than 2x increase fortitude he has no skills. Him I've only been using attack chance and attack damage. I've made certain observations between the two builds henceforth to be refered as build 1 (lvl 54), and build 2 (lvl 39)
Build 1 is basically indestructible. For the last 10 lvls or so since getting the RoL, I've used maybe 5 bonemeal potions because I rarely get hit and when I do I always heal up faster than I take damage in all but one area (the Iqhan caves). I can go through spider caves to remgard without even worrying about looking at my health because there is basically no risk. I don't remember the last time I went under 100 hp. The Iqhan caves I need to pay a little more attention in because of the chaotic grip's -BC and high their high AC. Overall, there are a couple there are a couple things I would change going down a high block build...
First off, taunt is basically useless. I plan on writing a more detailed explanation about why it is useless in the suggestions forum, but here just trust me that considering you need a pre-requisite of 6 skills to get it, it should be far more useful than it is. For this reason, on a different block build I would not get taunt, nor would I therefore get the 2x evasion skill points you need for it.
Second, I find that BC is by far the most useful stat to get in mid game. AD/AC are essential in the early game so you can deal a reasonable amount of damage to so you can actually hit enough of the creatures. At a certain point though, you'll hit enough, but not having to worry about getting hit makes the entire game much easier overall and makes it so you can lvl at certain areas without ever really having to think about it (in terms of having to carefully watch HP as you are lvling, and not having to flee)
Build 2 needs constant attention when playing but I think at around lvl 45-50 will become a power hitter if I choose to start using the skills on the crit skills. I'll see how it goes.
