IMO it is a little bit more complicated than the currently used way. But it should not be very hard. Also keep in mind: The current way is implemented.

Definitely Combat Speed, which is what I used my first 2 skill points on. Paired with the Jewel of Fallhaven, this is still the best skill, imo.

After the past 2 weeks, I'd rate Quick Learner as my 2nd favorite, and how high I rank Magic Finder will depend on how long it takes to get a RoLS (or 2) after I eventually go back to the Gargoyle caves to try for it. If it only takes a couple days worth of playing, it might become my new favorite :D

I agree the Combat Speed is gonna be the most effective of all the skills.

And the quick learner will help speed up the game alot of players who are later on in the game (like me)

But i also feel like the Increased Fortitude could easily tie with Quick Learner for 2nd place. Only because it takes away the need to put levels into HP which frees them to be put into BC, AC, or AD.

I'm also curious to what people think of the Corpse Eater, Regeneration, and Bark Skin abilities? Are they worth using? If not, why?

as of level 48

2 combat speed
2 evasion

2 more criticals
2 better criticals

2 quick learner
2 magic finder


the benefits of the skills i did not chose, are not lost on me!
i will start over here in a bit - trying out totally new tactics, feeling things out...
i will report my new findings / opinions 8-)

I agree that Increased Fortitude also ranks high among the skills. I would put it as right after Combat Speed for beginners, and still pretty high up later in the game. I plan to use my 20th skill point on it. Quick Learner has been really great but I agree its more appreciated at higher levels.

short version: I don't plan to use skill points for anything I can get from normal level ups, or that don't directly affect my character stats.

I'm using Bark skin, corpse eater and regeneration. Would like to invest more in Bark skin as its comforting to have some damage resistance especially in the Iqhan caverns. Trouble is I'm hooked on quick learner now.

What Levels do you get Skill Points on?
