I love the new content, and have already scored both of the new Legendary Items - though I hate going through the spiders! Magic Finder 4.

Awesome dude! And welcome to the forums! I'm new in here too, but not new to the game. Just caught my first RoLS, and grinding for the second... Good luck on your hunt... My first ring was almost 2500 rocks with MF at lvl 3 when I started...

I haven't even gotten my first level in MF and only have 500 small rocks and 180 polished gems. This is proving to be harder then I thought.

Is Magic Finder really that worth it?
If it is, how many levels should one try to get before going into other skills?

Most people who decided to invest skill-ups in MF have put in two points as doing so cuts the odds in half.
As far as being worth it, that depends on how patient you are.

It's all luck, to a point. I got my first RoLS at 35 rocks. Was so happy I put it in my sig, lol. Far as I know I still have the record for fastest gotten RoLS. But, there are several people pretty close to mine, so if it can be gotten that quickly then any time after you could get a RoLS. You could get one in the next few rocks, you never know.

My point is, just keep telling yourself, "Just a few more rocks. Just a few more rocks.", until you finally get one. Because, if you stop looking, the RoLS could be a few more rocks away and you missed it.

I only had MF lvl 1 when I got my RoLS. I may put another point into it farther down the line, and maybe a third at much higher level, but it's hard for me to do so because I prefer skills that boost my character as opposed to finding magical items, more treasure, or experience.

Looks like you have all the items (listed in your sig), how many points do you have in MF?
