welcome to the forum!
with the game being unfinished, there are alot of things still up in the air...
even the veterans are at a loss when it comes to guessing what happens when you pick sides.
if i remember right, if you take BW over Prim -
the only thing that BW sells (that i care about) is -

this type of NPC is insight into what type of world our hero lives in...
they don't just randomly trust travelers who wander into their village.
why sell you weapons if they have no clue about your intentions?
it seems like you misunderstood what Buceth was telling you
(and what happened in Loneford all together)
as for being good & evil in each town...
so far - the trend for quest writing involves BOTH sides
so you should always have stuff to do - regardless of your alliances

and the mindflayer that was guarded & all by himself?
i hope nothing happens with him (working on a quest to involve him / unless Oskar already has plans!)
too bad i keep killing him with every new character

finally, we have no clue about Nor City vs. Feygard...
some of the quests we finish tell us to look for help / friends in later towns after helping someone,
but aside from new "contacts" (my own choice of wording)
there hasn't been any hint towards a "Final Alignment" or who will be the end boss...
it's all up in the air.
this is an open source game & any one of us could have the next big idea OR write the next big quest.
personally, i think it's awesome to find a project like this... unfinished & open to ideas / development.
i DO see it as more of a project than a game, because it will need some love before it is DONE.
but, that doesnt mean i don't "play"!
my point is, im STUNNED when people give this game a bad rating or gripe (not saying that you are

)
it's on the market early, so it can be found & worked on by everyone.
(and enjoyed by people who are patient enough to wait for more content)
---edit---
i hope this doesn't sound like a rant - i actually had a good time writing this...
haha anyway, take care & good luck!
