Try searching a few screens to the west from where you found the amulet.

I have received the same item when I went into the purple whole in the ground with the zombies and killed the end monster. It is the Lleglaris' amulet however when I speak to Lleglaris now he doesn't mention it at all. I have gone through all of the chat options. Is there a prerequisite?

Weird... Can you please tell more because this might be a bug:
-do you kill that monster before starting quest (with talking Lleglaris first) ?
-your phone model is ?
-your software version is ?
-any other weird thing ?

The quest option is not in the dialog from start.
You must first convince him that you are an experienced adventurer.
Tell him about some of your deeds.
(+ I think, you must have really done those deeds before they pop up)
Perhaps you only missed that dialog line?
