That would be way overpowered I think that in the future you will be able to upgrade more and more items that will eventually balance out the Marrowtaint, but I don't think that the upgraded items will ever be better than the Marrowtaint. That way the balance is maintained.

What all can be upgraded anyway? I only found like maybe two items that he can upgrade? Neither of the items, even combined, come close to Marrowtaint in my opinion.

I did the math many months ago so my numbers might be off slightly, but I think it was close. If you add up the increase to AC and BC of all upgradable items they fall short by 2 or 3 % on each category, but you also gain access to the woodcutter's hat.

Don't forget the Mithril gloves sold by the criminal type behind the North West cabin.

There is a thief in the southwest of remgard, but he just mumbles about his "plans"

Sorry I was just fueling your desire for Mithril. Unfair I guess. PK17 is right the thief currently has nothing to offer. In fact he appears to be up to no good.
