Having the character's apperance fluctuate based on experience may not the feasible to the storyline.

However, having the character's appearance fluctuate based on equipment sounds like a good idea

For example:
If character equips a shield, a shield is shown
If character equips a cap, a cap is shown
if character equips a shirt, a shirt is shown
if character equips armor, armor is shown
if character equips a sword, a sword the shown
if character equips a dagger, a dagger is shown
If character equips a necklace, a necklace is shown

Boots, gloves, rings, etc are all options as well Etc etc...

I agree I like that idea with showing the equipment currently equiped and everything it'll give people somn to look forward to seeing what it looks like one the hero

+1 I love to see litle kid with tiny but dark and glowing dagger and huge shiel wandering around...

Yes you can modify the graphics.

Here first one, just playing around a bit with the char image
This would be perfect for all the lvl 100+ players on top of the highscore, we will all be grey and old before finding Andor
