lost souls

How do u beat lost souls at the house?
They are defeated the same way everything else is.
You get close to them an engage in battle. The lost soul will tell you something and you choose a statement in reply. I like to choose the statement that says I will free him my killing him. Then you fight and win.
If you get defeated, you need to ensure that you have better weapon, armor, jewelry, etc. plus sufficient HP.
