There's nothing else like Valughas shimmering hat but here's the list of all "cloth typed" helm suitable for your mage:

Does it gives Valugha Robe if I give him Tears of Shadow or not < guessing right now coz I killed hizzain at lvl 40 and got lazy of turning back and forth from Remgard to Blackwater Settlement :? >

As long as the hp potion is so strong like Lodar's bonemeal potion. Although, Tears of Shadow only replenish your life from 5 to 15 hp. Who knows? It is worth a try. Save the game first.

What shortcut to Lodar? I don't recall exactly what we discussed.

You need to go through the green maze at least once to get to Lodar. He's the key to the shortcut.
remember that temple in one of the caves on your way to lodar?
