From the opera Tristan und Isolde, self-inflicted romantic tragedy being a bit of a theme in my life.

My avatar is the opening chord, a quite beautuful dissonance.

Ionisedfisheads - ionised fish heads:
Pretty self-explanatory, and the result of several drunken physics students going to a fish restaurant.

DosTuMai:
Old nickname I've been using since my MUD days.
Hindi for 'naughty girl,' but the character is male, so I used an old college joke.

Everyone knows the spork is the most powerful item in this universe - only beaten by the 3/4 hybrid, but that's another thing entirely...

Oh, and thank you! =]

My nickname on Andor's Trail is my given name, obviously.
Whenever I need to come up with a nickname while playing some online games, I usually go by something like

Code: Select all

'); drop table players; --
as nickname. It's a programmer joke on SQL insecurities with references to xkcd.
That's brilliant. Any site/app that doesn't validate, encode and /or parameterize, deserves to receive that injection attack.

Unfortunately, my name isn't that creative. It's simple a reference to the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen Donaldson. I've always been fond of fictional characters that have stage idiosyncrasies or flaws in their character. And Thomas Covenant tops tthem all.

I'm from Sweden and "Oet" in swedish means "The O". In 1st grade back when I was seven, we had 4 people named "Andreas" in our class, I was one of them. So we took the first letter of our last name and named us after them. Instead of Andreas, Andreas, Andreas and Andreas, we had, Oet, Jet, Eet and Wet. (of course we do not pronounce as in english ie. "Wet" is pronounced something like "Ve:ett". Two syllabies. Though, my name is only one.
