i like to exploit a little glitch / bug when im grinding & waiting for respawn...
lets use the gargoyle cave as an example - the room with only 2 mobs
clear the area of trainers & masters, then head to the room i mentioned
hit the back button, taking you to the title screen...
choose help, and link to the forums.
the clock keeps running on the current game,
but it is NOT running on the screen you occupy.
so browse the forum for a few mins...
when enough time passes, choose continue
the room you occupy is empty, but everything else has respawned!
that being said - i've read all posts!

This is nothing new, I was doing that for months back in version 0.6.8. I would leave the cave completely or leave the maps where the gargoyles were.

i'd love to do that, but browsing the forum is cumbersome on my little cel.
i should play with that, see if i can learn how to better use my cel browser.
thanks for the idea; i've been doing all my grinding on the lower half of BWN, simply cuz i have a bed at each end, and don't need to wait on respawns. also, it's averages 10k XP per trip, which makes it easy for us math-challenged folk to know how far to the next level-up.
but i'd probably actually get levels faster elsewhere, not to mention finding an RoLS or something.

im trying to find other ways to keep the clock running, while not actually playing.
find any other tricks?

[lv.17 & grinding for a RoLS w/o MF - so im brainstorming!]

one thing i DID manage to figure out how to do, is set my cel timeout to 2mins. that way i can play around on my laptop, and when i notice my cel screen is fading, i can just reach over and tap a button, knowing i only have 60secs left to kill.

the next choice on my cel is 10 mins, and who wants to lose 7 mins of gametime?

yeah, i only put it on ten mins when im busy
[and prolly shouldnt be playing at all]

more stuff to do when grinding?
i took Full Screen off so i can access the notification tab & chat w/o leaving the game
i dont know if fullscreen is default or not...
but i was backing out of AT to respond to messages for longer than i'd like to admit! haha...

my current grind-time killer is image searches for that dang painting.
it drives me nuts, wanting to know something, and not being able to.

If I'm at work, I usually just take a break from AT to get some actual work done, either putting the phone down with the game still running, or just go to another room, save, and then start it up again later (5 minutes or more depending on how busy I end up).

Haven't had to worry about respawns as much in the Iqhan caves, but for those Izthiel Guardians its been helpful.
