POLL: Which gloves do you prefer?

Actually, the only time I chose to wear the GoLF was with an IF5 char.
A defensive build: built on heavy DR & massive Regen / C.Eater
No criticals - but a flashy RoL to back it up.

Even then (to quote myself ) it was only there "for general elegance"
And with an added personal RP element - it fit my style.

So, in the end, the GoLF was still pretty fun.
And the TG will get a tweak to match the new critical formula (T.B.A.)

Based on the choices provided, I would probably stick with Trouble Makers gloves because I would favor more AC% over the extra HP boost.

But since they're called Gloves of Life Force and offer a higher boost in HP than almost any other item, I think the +9 HP fits with the name and makes it extraordinary enough. (Ring of shadow embrace seems to be the only one to offer more HP and you have to make certain choices to get it, which I didn't with my main character).

But, you left out the gloves I actually wear:
Woodcutter's gloves
AC: 8%
BC: 1%
Raises max HP +3

Even though it offers less BC, it has a little more AC than Trouble makers, and I'm not currently using a weapon with critical hit, so the CC% doesn't matter. There's also this one for extra AC (possibly the best gloves in 0.6.9)


Fine gloves of swift attack
AC: 17%
BC: -9%

And now that this topic has reminded me of that, I'm switching back to those gloves, so thanks

There is always the chance that you will get one to drop on the very first try. Some people are definitly luckier than others....

When I play a low level Char I use the Guard gloves because it gives the highest bc. After gaining the shadowpriest dagger, I only use the troublemaker gloves since no other glove does makes real sense.
With 0.6.9 the GolF was very interesting since having only 30 to 40 HP +9 HP is impressive, but with 0.6.10 (introduction of the skill system) and 100+ HP the +9 doesn't count that much any more...

I would add a +1 or +2 mf-skill to the Golf to make them real unique.

I built my character around Criticals, so have been using the Troublemaker gloves....but as some monsters are now immune to crits, i've been looking for new gloves....and as i have reviewed the most awesome gear list, I'm thinking of going with the Leather Gloves of Attack or Fine Gloves of Swift Attk.....nice AC boost, and a mimimal reduction in BC that doesn't matter for my build. How much loves do these gloves get?

actually, there are several gloves more interesting than the ones you listed;

pure BC build, Gloves of the guardian
sensible BC build, Enchanted Remgard gloves
AC/BC build, Leather gloves of attack
and ofc any criticals build, Troublemaker's

also, the Arulir skin gloves aren't bad at all, as it's not impossible to get DR 10 by the time you get to remgard.

These are the gloves that I use I have a DR build that stands up pretty good. Especially since I have not put any level bonuses into HP.

I should create this poll again with the worn plated gloves included. I'd be very interested in seeing if others have abandoned their troublemakers' gloves in favor of the wpg.

Personally I love the TG in my mind its well worth the cost
