I think that the bonemeal quest should have alternate ending, where you tell the priest that you do not want to cross the law, he then would send you to somebody else who will then cook your meat nearly for free. So you have either bonemeal, or cooked meat and it would not break the game.

+1 nice idea, but IMO price of the cooked meat need to be cheapen.

But it should be something else, like Bratwurst which should give 32HP (not as good as bonemeal, but not too bad).
