from my understanding,
cleave was an idea borrowed from pen & paper / D20 games
the blow that slew your last enemy can be brought about to also strike a 2nd opponent
only useful when fighting multiple enemies,
and carrying AP over to the next battle is inexplicable.
i dont see the sense in picking it early,
on the other hand, iqhan caves (later) ...
pit you against 3 stationary mobs - making cleave very useful
the more we see the mobs defending zones wisely,
(future updates) the better cleave will feel - without major changes.
just my opinon, good post!

Re: (TESTERS)Skills in V0.6.10
I suppose carrying it over would have been too much, and now that I think about it, most of the time after a fight you go back to your base AP the next time you get in a fight, unless you're on speed (potion).
But you're right about it probably being useful against unavoidable mobs like the 3 in the Iqhan caves at that fence, so I might try it out later on, and also check to make sure AP farming isn't possible.

i hope i didnt come across as a "know it all"
or sound preachy - only sharing thoughts...
hoping to spawn more ideas, thoughts or opinions.
i dont appreciate cleave,
but i bet Oskar adds more stuff like those 3mobs at the fence...
then i'll be all over it!
i wanna see a boss battle where his henchmen join in,
i would be missing cleave at that point...
sooo many ways to go in AT - love it!
(still shocked its on a cell phone)

Re: skill
Perhaps it should be specified that the skill points are given at the completion of level 4, 8...,as you are leveling up to 5, 9...

No its not! I am @ 91, the moment I hit 92, I get to skill-up. You hit level 4, you do not need to wait until 5 to use skill point.lady black wrote:Perhaps it should be specified that the skill points are given at the completion of level 4, 8...,as you are leveling up to 5, 9...

Re: (TESTERS)Skills in V0.6.10
Agree, that's what I did, and currently I feel like I actually don't need any more health than I currently have at this point in the game. But that might just be my corpse eater level 4 meaning I very rarely need to use a potion. Completely removes the need for BC for meChest_Rockfield wrote:Oops, I didn't know there were restrictions on Fortitude. Okay, in my opinion, new players should get to Fortitude 2 as fast as Androidily possible.
Getting in on the cleave debate: I feel my current build completely negates the need for it. High health means you can tank the damage, high damage + AC means you can kill quickly.
Maybe future updates may make me want BC and a few of the other skills, but till then it's damage and perhaps some more AC... and most my skill points into QL.

Re: skill
Is there a disparity between those that started the game after the latest update and those that continued a character? I could see how the confusion could have come about. The new character, who would probably start as a level 1, would need to level up 4 times to 2, 3, 4, then 5 to get the skill point, while the formula for calculating the number of skill points an existing character would need was probably just written as X/4 rounded down= skill points and new skill point at multiples of 4 thereafter. This is all just a guess, but I've heard people saying both things are happening...

Re: What Levels do you get Skill Points on?
Maybe the confusion is from attempting to use Increased Fortitude with the first skill point that you get at level 4, because you need to be at level 5 to activate that skill.
Also, just noticed, to use it a 2nd time, you need to be at level 20, which makes it less OP than I would have thought at first.

Re: What Levels do you get Skill Points on?
Okay, sorry for the wrong post. I have only gotten 1 additional skill point since my original 17, and I guess I forgot just when I got it. So for the first one, you get a "free" level, since you have only completed levels 1, 2, & 3 and get the skill point at the beginning of level 4; whereas all subsequent skill points require the completion of the intervening 4 levels: 4, 5, 6 & 7. I did not realize that.
Again, sorry.
Again, sorry.
