I'm working on Climbing Up is Forbidden, and seem to be stuck. I've talked with Jern and discovered that he's too drunk to continue the conversation, then I went to the spring and filled a bottle and have "Cold bottle of mountain water" in my inventory. But my only options when talking to Jern are "I haven't, be patient." and "Where can I find the streams?", as if I hadn't gotten the bottle at all.

Have I missed something?

So I have been grinding the mines and today I found a "Unknown Gem - extracted from Elm Mine" and it says it's a quest item. What quest is that for? What have I missed?

Right now, you don't need it for anything. Don't get rid of it though.

If I sided with BWM, can I not trust Ehrenfest and still complete climbing up is forbidden?

Have only seen this fellow on a certain map, possibly in the general Prim area, but no clue who he is or what he's up to.. did a search here and nothing came up regarding..
