yeah I get it, so if the monster doesn't hit, there is no chance for any of the other attacks to have a chance of hitting, so if you made the first chance to hit kinda high, say, 140%, cause I know a lot of people have really high BC, then from there, go into the chances of the other attacks adding damage, well, wow that could get pretty bad. But I kinda like that idea, I might have to put that into the quest I am working on.

Really need an in-battle condition counter for that to work, tho.... After 4 rounds of battle, you'll end up with 3 burns, 7 claw swipes, and 6 tail swipes, if you make them all conditions...

You can make the chance pretty low, tthough, for the conditions to activate. The most you could have in 4 rounds would be 4 of each, 1 a round, which isn't very likely, if you give the creature low AP or high AP Cost so it gets 1 attack a round. First off, you would have to be hit, a miss would mean no conditions activated. And then you would have to hit the percentage chance for each condition. Say you had a 20% chance for each condition to activate, a roll of 1-100 would need between 1 and 20 for each.

For only a few conditions, depending on the damage they can cause, etc., I would suggest 20% chance for each. For several conditions, or a few really strong ones, 10% for each. I might mix it up, though, depending on the creature and it's attacks.

For instance, with the Doom Gazer, it could cast 7 conditions (if I remember correctly). One was a special bite, and the others magical rays. I gave the bite, which was purely physical damage, a 20% chance, and all the other conditions had 10%.

For the most part, ya just have to play with it and see what seems right, without being too overpowered for the level heroes you plan on the creature fighting against.

If you want to play around with it, you can find the AT Editor here: http://andors-trail.googlecode.com/svn/ ... ditor.html

The villagers should be dwarves, which would explain how they know how to make weapons and armor from the remains. Isn't there a dwarven hall off to the south somewhere? One of them could mention that their kin is being troubled by a dragon, and give vague directions to the village...

:D

why not throw a dragon in there, right?

 ( )

------------------------------------------------------

nothing sloppy though, dragons will not be treated lightly!
[and yes, the rewards will be just as epic!]

Nearly a year later, we're still waiting to kill the dragon :(!
Bring it to us so we can slay some real evil.

Yeah, didn't you all see "How to Train Your Dragon"?
The Night Fury turned out to be very friendly and loyal.

I am pretty sure there is 1 dungeon worth of maps for this quest and a few lines of dialogue but not much.
