Is there a trick to get thru the first dark mine shaft in blackwater? I'm trying to navigate thru the mine and can't find the path!?

Move one tile and drop a rock (or anything else you wont miss), move to next tile and repeat. What you drop will be visible in the dark and will always be left on the map.
Make sure your setting for loot display is on or else the loot bags will get picked-up when walked over.

To drop an item, in the inventory screen, long press an item and select drop.

Dropping items is a pain.

Here ya go, thanks to TheGleep...

You'll notice the map you're looking for easily. It will be one of the black and pink ones. ;)

Not everyone views an invisible maze as a "fair/fun" challenge.

(not quite the right word, but it's the best I have.)

Personally, after the first time through the BW maze, it's the easiest maze I've ever done in a video game.

The Shrine maze, OTOH. UGH.

When the version first came out with the blacked out maps, I sat down with a sheet of graph paper and mapped my way through it. Now I know the path and do not need the map.

It was a challenge, but I can see how someone not interested in that type of challenge might want to use a map to get through things.

I will say that a world map is nice to have, just so you can maintain your bearings with regard to town names. The roadway signs help a little (but confused me at first when Remgard doesn't appear on any of them). I am thinking more like the Skyrim map that give you provinces and major cities but not super detail of what you will cross when traveling.

I think that you should go through the map first, then use a map for reference. ;)

But, he seemed frustrated, and frustration=no fun, too. :P So, I gave him the map link to use, or not, as he wishes. :)

My English is bad, so I apologize in advance.

Hello Gray Wolf, welcome to the forums! :D
You are encountering a maze-like in that wide dark pitch room. Ergo, keep maneuvering and tapping into the screen. But you must remember the path, young-padawan.

If you are really stuck, here is the link: Blackwater Mine Shaft Map
